In-Kind Donations
Donations are not always in the form of cash. Merrick, Inc., is always in need of many items and services. Please take a look at the following wish list to see what types of in-kind donations are most needed.

Wish List
A very meaningful and helpful donation to Merrick, Inc., can be in the form of a new and/or used item that is in good condition. The following are some ideas of items that would assist us in delivering quality services to clients in our programs and/or create a more pleasant environment.

A receipt describing the item donated will be provided; however, you and/or your tax preparer will have to determine an appropriate value of the item for deduction purposes.

Matching Donations
You can further maximize your donation if your company matches employee donations.

1. Contact your employer's human resources office to inquire if your company does matching donations.
2. If yes, then request a copy of the matching donation form.
3. Review the program guidelines to see if Merrick, Inc., is eligible to receive matching donations.
4. If yes, complete the form and send it to:

Memorials
Honor the memory of a loved one, a birthday, an anniversary, recovery from an illness, a wedding, or any other occasion with a special donation. Each special occasion card is inscribed with an appropriate message. It will be signed with your name and sent directly to the individual or family you designate.

The amount of your gift will not be revealed. Your kindness will make two hearts happy; the one you honor and the one your donation serves.

Special Events & Sponsorships
Merrick, Inc., hosts a variety of special events, from smaller client get-togethers to large fundraisers for the whole community.

You can help with registration, hospitality, decorating, gift-wrapping, set up/take down, or assisting clients to participate in the event. Refer to our Volunteers section for more information on how you can participate in one of these events, or to our Event Participants section for details in sponsoring a fundraiser.

United Way Campaign
Designating your United Way contribution to Merrick, Inc., is a great way to support our programs.

1. Ask your United Way representative or human resources office for a United Way form.
2. Go to item #5 and in the space provided write in: Merrick, Inc., 3210 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, MN 55110, (651) 789-6200.
3. Make sure to check the box to forward your name to Merrick, Inc., so that we are notified of your donation.

You can designate your contribution to Merrick, Inc., anytime throughout the year.
