"Challenge our abilities profit
from our performance."
As Americans, we believe that adults with
disabilities have a right to create for themselves a life
that reflects independence, self-determination, and participation
as productive members of our society. We believe that meaningful
vocation, defined as "work in which a person is regularly
employed," is a primary factor in realizing that right
because it:
- Increases self-sufficiency and thereby
a person's self-esteem.
- Is a major branch of an adult's social
network.
- Allows the worker to make decisions
to purchase what is important for their quality of
life.
Established in 1985, our production services
division is committed to providing meaningful vocational
services to clients in our Day Training and Habilitation
(DT&H)
program and innovative solutions to our business partners.
We have approximately 120 clients working in many different
off-site settings including: apartments, churches, gardens,
grocery stores, hotels, offices, public buildings, restaurants,
retail stores, schools, vending sites, and warehouses.
We also have approximately 80 clients working on-site
completing outsourced contracts that involve: assembly,
bagging, collating, disassembly, folding, heat sealing,
labeling, packaging, palletizing, shredding, shrink
wrapping, sorting, stuffing, and tagging.
Through our business partnerships, employees,
and the reliable, loyal, and enthusiastic characteristics
of our client workforce; we are helping to change society's
perception of the clients we serve so that they are seen
not as persons with disabilities, but rather, people with
abilities.
