Merrick’s Bowl-A-Thon

You’re Invited

Merrick’s “most fun” fundraiser, the Bowl-A-Thon, will take place at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl on Sunday, April 26, 2026. This client-focused, family-friendly event welcomes participants of all ages and bowling abilities.

Bowlers can pay the $100 registration fee online or collect pledges from family and friends. Prizes will be awarded to the three client bowlers/teams who raise the most money. Sponsorships are also available for those who want to make an even greater impact.

Cheerleaders (aka non-bowlers) are also encouraged to join the fun! There will be complimentary balloon art, a temporary tattoo station, and plenty of chances to win prizes, including over 20 exciting raffle baskets.

Proceeds from the event benefit Merrick’s Self-Advocacy Program, which offers clients the opportunity to join our weekly self-advocacy groups where they gain valuable tools for navigating life and learn about their civic rights and responsiblities.

Cost: $100/bowler | $5/lunch

Bowler Registration Includes:

  • Two (2) hours of bowling (9:00-11:00 am)
  • Ball and shoe rentals
  • Donuts and juice to kick off the morning
  • Pizza, chips, and soda for lunch (10:30 am)
  • Lane bumpers and bowling ball ramps available upon request

Bowlers must register or confirm their intention to bowl by Monday, April 20, 2026.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Be a Bowler

    Bowler registration includes two hours of bowling (including shoe rentals), donuts, and a pizza lunch. Lane bumpers and bowling ball ramps will be available upon request.

    Bowler spots are limited! Hence, bowlers must submit payment, launch a crowdfunding campaign, or confirm their intention to bowl with Megan Kuneli by Monday, April 20, 2026.

    • Option 1: Register Online

      Bowlers may register using our online form. When registering online, please note that you will be required to submit payment. Alternatively, cash or checks made out to Merrick, Inc., may also be sent to Merrick, Inc., 3210 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, MN 55110. Please indicate the name of the bowler(s) you are submitting payment for if you decide to pay using cash or checks.

    • Option 2: Crowdfunding

      Bowlers may finance their participation by crowdfunding. That is, instead of paying the $100 registration fee themselves, they raise the money needed to participate by asking for pledges from family, friends, and others in their personal network. We ask that participating bowlers raise a minimum of $100 and that all collected pledges be turned in on or before the day of the event. Bowlers who select the crowdfunding option may do one (or all) of the following:

  • Be a Volunteer

    We’re seeking volunteers to work 1-2 hour shifts on Sunday, April 26, between 8 am and noon (or 6:30 am if you're available to assist with set-up). Volunteers can get involved as much or as little as they want. It all depends on their skills and availability. Examples of volunteer tasks include the following:

    • Setting up/tearing down
    • Assisting balloon artists
    • Managing donut/tattoo station
    • Selling raffle tickets
    • Serving lunch
